Jacky led a manuscript on mentorship in science

Supported by members of the 2022 CAS Future Leaders, Jacky led a manuscript on mentorship in science.

Published in ACS Central Science, the manuscript details how effective mentorship is critical for retaining diverse talent and strengthening the future of chemistry. Each author was asked three questions: (1) Why is mentorship important?; (2) What are some impactful mentorship strategies you have used or experienced?; and (3) How can we create a chemistry community that values and prioritizes effective mentorship? Relying on a combination of personal experiences and research literature on mentorship, the article highlights the reciprocal nature of mentorship and emphasizes the importance of fostering a chemistry culture that values mentorship at all career stages.

Congratulations to Jacky and co-authors!
