We are thrilled to welcome Malaika K. Nyembwe as the newest member of our research group!
Malaika K. Nyembwe
Malaika is a third-year Honours BSc Biomedical Science student at the University of Ottawa. She brings a strong academic foundation, a passion for science, and a drive to grow within the research community.
Beyond her studies, Malaika is deeply engaged in her community. She serves as an assistant coach for a local high school girls’ basketball team and contributes as a youth leader at her church—roles that highlight her leadership, mentorship, and commitment to empowering others.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, photography, staying active at the gym, and playing recreational basketball with friends.
We’re excited to have Malaika bring her curiosity, energy, and dedication to the lab.
